feed format autodetection not working

Submitted by Madz1 on Sat, 2015-04-04 14:36 in

Hi,

Sorry if this has been answered already I couldn't find anything that helped me.

I have just installed the new version and I have added CSV files to their own folders within the /feeds/ folder like /feeds/boohoo
I have a CSV file in each one from AW and when I go to Feed Management section in the admin I can see each folder and the option to register each new feed. When I click register no information is displayed from any of the feeds. I have tried manually detected and auto detected but it doesn't seem to read any information from the files. I have tried all the settings but none work. No fields seem to be detected.

Any suggestions?

Hello Madzi,

Sub-directories of the /feeds/ folder aren't supported, so it would have been trying to auto-detect the sub-directory selected.

I agree that sub-directories could provide a nice way to organise feeds for larger installations, so I will consider this for a future distribution, but otherwise, if you wanted to organise multiple feeds for the same merchant, continuing your example, I would suggest filenames e.g.

boohoo_category1.csv
boohoo_category2.csv
etc.

Cheers,
David.
