I have a feed where I need to replace the given URL completely with my own. The given URL keeps changing, the one I want to use remains always the same. Is there a filter to do this?
Alternatively, I could replace the URL manually in the database, but then I need to somehow change the field URL to NOT required, so that it will not be overwritten at the next import.
I am curious what solution you will come up with you.

Hello IG,
The easiest way is probably to register the product name field as Buy URL, and then simply add Search and Replace filters to the Buy URL field for the feed, using the product name as the Search value, and the Buy URL for that product as the Replace value.
There's a handy mod in this thread that displays filter settings on the main filters page which will make it easier to manage...
