Hello, when i try and run slow import after about 1000 products i get this error.

That's strange - please could you enable database debug mode by changing line 6 of config.advanced.php as follows:
$config_databaseDebugMode = TRUE;...then go through the same process again and extended MySQL error information should be displayed - if you could let me know what is displayed that should indicate the problem...
