New Items Added to Datafeed Page / Feed

I'm not sure if this has been asked before, so if there's a thread please let me know.

I'd like to have a list of new items/products that have been added to the site since the last update. Say I import a datafeed on monday with x products, then download the same feed again on wednesday with x + 5 products. Can I create a page or feed to show those 5 new items that have been added? Would it be best to just create a new table and add the new items to the table and maybe only display "New Items" for a given time period?
