Hi David,
1º
Want to join coincidence with the product name,to be within the same product.
what possibilities are there?
when more than 90% agree, this is possible?
letters can be by number?
2º
also that if the name matches that do not create a new product is different from the description
thanks
Hi david,
searches such as these are the same products, I would like to be in a single product.
How could I?
but other than manual? then open that more than 10,000 products
{link saved}
Thanks
carlos
Hi Carlos,
I see what is going on here; you are looking to compare different brands of the same product rather than exactly the same product / brand from different merchants.
This is slightly different to what Price Tapestry is designed to do. Product Mapping could still help you because you could create your own generic product names and then each of the different brands will appear on the price comparison page.
However bear in mind that this would reduce the visibility on your site as only the cheapest brand of each product line would then be imported per merchant.
Users will still be able to search on the generic name as this appears in the title of each brand, and then they will see the price comparison for that brand alongside other brands; and from search results be able to select the cheapest brand overall, and then on the the product page they will find the cheapest merchant for that brand...
Cheers,
David.

but the mapping products, you have to do manual, product by product, or is there some automatic way to do it to say that if they match a percentage of the link?
tell me how to do
Hi Carlos,
Automatic product mapping is actually an extremely complex computational problem - it's one of those things that is very easy for a human to do but very difficult for software. This is mainly because humans understand the context of words that can appear in product names, where as a computer program does not have the same understanding. A good example of this is where a product may be an accessory for another product, for example a stand for a TV - but it includes the brand and model number of the TV in the product name, e.g. "Sony Bravia KDL324000 Stand".
One alternative is to use EAN/SKU mapping, so it might be worth checking in your feeds to see a standard product ID is available. If so, it is possible to add ean (or sku etc.) as a field to your site so that you can register and import it (as per the instructions in this thread) and then post-import match up products by their ID to have the same name... let me know if you would be interested in trying this approach I and I will follow up by email to help you through the modifications...
Cheers,
David.

Hi there, and welcome to the forum!
Where product names don't agree you can use Product Mapping to merge the remaining differences. Full instructions on that page and don't forget that without using the =Exact Match the mapping can also be by keyword, which means that if merchants use slightly different names but there is a common model number for example then you can map by model number.
If you're not sure; let me know a couple of links (I'll remove before publishing your reply) to 2 or more product page URLs on your installation and I'll help out with how to configure the mapping.
I'm afraid I'm not quite sure what you mean by question 2 - perhaps if you could post some examples again that will help...
Thanks,
David.
