Redirect old url after set up rewrite url

Submitted by magnaromagna on Mon, 2010-06-07 21:32 in

Hello,
I switched my installation to rewrite mode. How to redirect old urls
site/search.php?q=name+of+product+searched
site/search.php?q=name+of+product+searched&page=3
site/search.php?q=name+of+product+searched&page=3&sort=relevance

to the new one
site/search/name+of+product+searched/

Thanks!

Hi,

Can you post the rule(s) that you have added to .htaccess for /search/, and also the section at the top of your search.php that is redirecting if required so that I can see everything that is in place at the moment....

I assume you're talking about URLs that have already been indexed by search engines, and you want to make sure that they are re-directed - is that correct?

Cheers,
David.
