£ on Internet explorer and "&pound" on Firefox

Hi David,

I got surprised when i saw my website in Firefox web browser. The Internet explorer shows the pound symbol "£" correctly where as the firefox shows as "&pound". I remember during installation in the config file i mentioned "&pound".

Please tell me how to resolve it.

Hello Syed,

In must be "£" in your config.php; it looks like you might be missing the ; off the end, and Internet Explorer is being lenient!

It can be a bit confusing to read sometimes because there is also a ; at the end of the line of PHP, but that's for a completely different purpose!
