Hello again

is it possible to have customer reviews appear on the same page than products ?

Cheers,
Coyote

Hi,

Yes - this is easy but requires quite a bit of copying 'n' pasting between reviews.php and products.php.

If you email me your latest products.php I will make the changes for you - i'm used to the mods so it only takes a few seconds!

(reply to your reg code or forum registration email)

Cheers,
David.

Hi David

First thank you again for the modified file, it works perfectly

i am afraid of spam as i had many forms on websites spammed by automatic spammers in the past and i had to look for wordpress contact forms plugins with captcha

would it be possible to add captcha to review forms or anything that would prevent forms to be spammed by automatic robot spammers ?

Cheers

Hi,

The review form does have a JavaScript anti-spam device, so you shouldn't have any problems!

Cheers,
David.

Hi David,

I would also like for my product review to appear on the same page as the products (underneath the comparison table). How can I do this?

Also, I am trying to add a field to the review form and cannot figure out how to get it showing up in my review moderation so that I can post it. I have added a field for customer "name" and I might want to add a "title". However, when I fill out the form and submit it for a test, the new field does not show up on the "moderate reviews" page in admin.

Hi Stacy,

There's quite a lot of copy & pasting involved to do this - it's very quick but rather complicated to describe. I know you have modified your files heavily so it will be easiest if you could email me your reviews.php and ratings.php for this site and i'll merge the reviews with the product page for you...

Cheers,
David.

Hi David,

Can I have a copy of the modified reviews.php and ratings.php too?

I've customized the script quite a lot and the final step will be to show all the options for a product in a single page, in tabs (like other prices, reviews, related, etc).

It will be enough just to modify the files from the original installation, then later I know what to do with them.

Thank you for your help!
Manuel

Hi Manuel,

It is actually only products.php (from the main directory) that needs major changes to incorporate reviews on the same page. I've just emailed you a modified version of this (from the current distribution).

Cheers,
David.
