will this work with the shopping.com api?
using this script, i can turn my site into a shopping comparison site using shopping.com's api
lastly, is this easy to set up or would i need to hire someone to do it for me?

Price Tapestry works with affiliate product feeds - actual files that you download from affiliate networks (or some merchants directly).
There is currently no support for APIs, which provide real time information.
If you're still interested; installation is straight forward - and doesn't take much more than just unzipping, editing the config file, and uploading to your server. There are various configuration settings that you need to know, for example your database username and password; and you must be able to prepare a database ready for Price Tapestry to use... Have a read through the installation pages of the manual for more information....
