Questions before i buy.

Hello!

First of all i need to say that i`m new on this forum and i really like what Price Tapestry and Magic Parser can do.
I have read almost everything on this forum, but i still need to know with what affiliate programs this software works.
I wish to work with regnow.com, shareit.com, amazon.com, cj.com and so on.
Could you please tell me how this work?

Thanks,
pgabriel

Hi pgabriel,

The software will work with any affiliate program or network that provides individual product feed files per merchant such as Linkshare, ShareASale.com etc. Commission Junction are slightly less straight forward as access to their product feeds is not free (as far as I understand it) and you may only be able to download a single large feed containing all merchants. It can be made to work, but is tricky - check this thread for more information:

Please note that Amazon do not provide a datafeed. To work with Amazon, you need to use their API (Application Programming Interface) and this type of interface is not supported by Price Tapestry.

Hope this helps!
Regards,
David.

Thanks for your reply.

So, to work with amazon and cj is a little difficult. I believe it`s not a big problem, i have a software that works only with amazon that uses their API. I could integrate that and to search only on amazon.

I should understand that PT works with any datafeed? And what if, i would like to make an kayak.com ? Could this work to?

I wanna make a lot of things with this software. I`m really interesed of buying it but i don`t have a paypal account. My country is forbidden(thanks to our "experts"). I could pay you only with credit card.

Hi,

Yes - PT will work with almost any datafeed. If you want to test one you can use the Magic Parser demo tool (Price Tapestry uses Magic Parser to read the feeds)...

http://www.magicparser.com/demo

(Magic Parser is included, you don't have to buy it separately)

With regards to kayak.com, that is a travel search tool and is not something that can be done with Price Tapestry. This script is purely for product comparison, based on data that include a product name, description (optional), image URL (optional), buy URL and price.

Hope this helps,
Cheers,
David.

David,

Since many of your members seem to reside in the UK I was hoping to get recommendations on where I can find a merchant with a product feed for "cricket equipment".

I have a site that would be a good fit to promote those products and the one merchant I found for cricket is at SAS and has proven to be quite unreliable in keeping their program funded.
