Google Adwords / Min Bids

Submitted by philstone on Fri, 2006-12-08 15:04 in

Hi All

I've become a little frustrated with google adwords when trying to put ads direct to my price tapestry site (buy24-7.net), up til july i was able to bid 6p and get bids on all keywords, now min bids are 25p, some are even £5.00, can anyone suggest what i could do on my site to help google see a better page quality, or any ideas on how to improve pagerank across the site, my homepage currently only gets a pagerank of 2,

any suggestions?

Regards

Phil

Hi Phil,

One tip is to focus incoming PR into sub-directories of your site as well as the home page; for example a merchant index page. This should improve the perceived "quality" of all pages below that point...

Cheers,
David.

Hi Phil

you need to make your landing page more relevant - ie try pointing directly to a product you want to promote other than the home page this should improve you bid price

- you can also try and see how low you should be able to get the bid by setting up an ad for the page that ranks number 1 on goole for that term you want to run your PPC campaign for (obviously dont finish setting up the campaign- just see what the min bids are)
