Optimal server hosting

Hello

I'm thinking of switching to the hosting ... I notice that I find my 2 million products on the website slow to search and display.

I know too little about hosting and server, what must an optimal hosting or server have to operate the website with many products (over 2 million)?

Hi Marco,

See this thread for discussion of MySQL server configuration for large installations - specifically regarding key_buffer_size and sort_buffer_size - allocating around 1/4 of total server memory between them normally gives good results for a large site, so for a 2GB RAM server e.g.

key_buffer_size=256M

sort_buffer_size=256M
