delete a feed completely?

Submitted by MarcoCH on Tue, 2018-11-27 16:50 in

Hello

How do I delete a feed completely?
if I delete under "feed / xxx.csv" the entry is still visible in the "feed management" and also on the website the entry is still in it.
In the database, however, I find no entries? How is that possible.

regards
Marco

Hello Marco and welcome to the forum!

After removing a feed from the /feeds/ folder the feed will still show on the /admin/ home page until it has been de-registered. On the /admin/ home page you should see the "De-register" button next to the feed. Click that to completely remove the feed from the system...

Cheers,
David.

Hello

Thanks for the decision.
It appears to me no button "De-register", what can I do?

Thanks for your help!

Marco

I entered it manually:

{link saved}

that works, but how do I delete all the entries?

Marco

Hello Marco,

The Register option should only be shown alongside feeds that exist in the /feeds/ folder but have not yet been registered - they aren't in the database at all. The /admin/ scripts all send cache prevention headers but occasionally, these can be ignored (for example by a proxy server between your Internet connection and the server) so you may be seeing a cached version of the /admin/ home page.

Please could you try CTRL+F5 to try and force a hard refresh of the page and if the feeds no longer exist in the /feeds/ folder the register links should not be displayed. If still no joy, let me know and I'll check it out further for you (probably first thing tomorrow now...)

Hope this helps!

Cheers,
David.

Hello

Unfortunately, no button appears and the entries remain even after deleting. I deleted cache, also restarted server, what else can I do?

regards
Marco

Hi Marco,

It really sounds like there is a broken reverse proxy server between your internet connection and your server, which is nothing that you can clear (as it is in the network, for example at your ISP or an edge proxy at your host).

I would like to understand this properly with your assistance, please could you temporarily change the admin password ($config_adminPassword in config.advanced.php) and email me the password and a link to the installation and I will check it out further with you right away;

Thanks,
David.
