Scan and Append Regexp Filter - Scan Specified Field

Submitted by ChrisNBC on Fri, 2017-01-27 15:53 in

Hi David,

Hope all is going well.

I wondered if you might be able to help me modify the filter below which you kindly wrote for me a few months ago.

{code saved}

Ideally, I would like to modify the filter so that in addition to the current ‘Scan’ options, I could specify a specific field to scan (from the registered fields list)?

Thanks in advance.

Best regards

Chris

Hi Chris,

The code didn't copy into your post correctly so this is a new filter - "scanFieldAppendRegexp" based on the scanAppendRegexp from latest email...

{code saved}

For the Scan setting, enter the actual database field name as required...

Hope this helps!

Cheers,
David.

Hi David,

Thank you for the quick response and the new filter above. I've tried it a couple of times now but I think there may be an issue as nothing is copied into the target field. I've checked the scanned field and set the regex to a single word I know is in the data but nothing seems to happen. I tried the database field name on it’s own and like this ~field~. I wondered if you might be able to suggest anything I might try to get this filter to work.

Thanks in advance.

Bets regards
Chris

Hi Chris,

The version I used as the basis was from some time back - please could you email me current modified includes/filter.php and I'll duplicate for the any-field functionality in-situ...

Thanks,
David.
