Hello David,

Can you tell me something about 3.0?

When do you expect to release it and most interesting for me. What are the changes?

Thank Jan Roel

Hello Jan,

The next update to Price Tapestry will be available later this month. It is primarily a maintenance / roll-up release and will incorporate things like Autocomplete and Shopping List "out of the box" in the ResponsiveHTML template.

However launching at the same time will be a new template that I am working on intending to make it easy to incorporate Price Tapestry into any existing website or 3rd party template. This template will use standalone responsive techniques based on the CSS3/Flexbox specification.

The new template will also form the bases of the defaults in the next update to PriceTapestry.org for WordPress, which will also include the option to import products as actual WordPress posts or pages.

Cheers,
David.

Awesome David,
Just finished a new template layout using Foundation 6, grabbed the latest Flexbox files to start in anticipation of 3.0.

Awesome! How will this affect those of us who have already heavily modded the current responsive version, say backend files vs. html files?

Hi,

Not at all - the next distribution will be primarily a maintenance release, the only new features (Shopping List etc.) are already available as standalone downloads and as always, I don't normally recommend "upgrading" an established Price Tapestry installation, instead if there are any features or aspects of any upgrade that you would like to incorporate into an existing installation it's easier to "back port" the changes - just ask on the forum and I'll post the mods or create a patch as required...

Cheers,
David.
