Hi David,
I have a feed which has Male or Female at the start of the category
Male>Clothing>Jackets and Coats>Bombers
Male>clothing>jeans
Female>clothing>jeans
Etc
I can use Category Heirachry to map these to clothing or jeans etc, I also have a custom field called Gender. What would be the best way to strip put the Male or Female from this feed to use as the gender.
I was playing around with search and replace, eg search Female* replace with female.
Any suggestions?

Hi Richard,
An Explode filter should do the trick. Map the category field from the feed into your Gender field on Feed Registration Step 2, and then attach an Explode filter to the Gender field, with ">" (without the quotes) as the Explode Character or String, and 1 as the Return Index...
