Am learning to import datafeeds with the automation tool.
1. CJ feeds: I have one subscription set up in CJ with all my merchants. Is there any way to import this or must I add each CJ merchant datafeed separately?
2. What are some reasons that multiple installs of PT would be recommended or necessary?

Price Tapestry supports feeds containing multiple merchants as long as each product record in the feed has a field containing the merchant name, so if this is the case, choose an appropriate filename for the feed that is network rather than merchant specific, and on Feed Registration Step 2, choose a field from the drop-down box as the merchant name rather than entering a merchant name specifically.
In terms of sub-category installations, this is a suggestion for improving search performance for very large sites. Generally speaking, I would suggest breaking down installations if you are planning on a site with greater than 100,000 products although dedicated or high specification cloud servers are able to handle this size of database with no problem, shared or basic hosting plans would benefit from multiple, smaller databases - that's all...
