I have one merchant who puts html into the description field, so the display looks awful with lots of <p></p>, <ul><li></li></ul>, etc all over it. Is there a way that I can strip that out?

Thanks David, but for some reason that didn't work. I have category feeds, not merchant feeds, would that make a difference? I added the filter to all the category feeds and then reimported using slow import from admin

I know you've been using the script for along time and have various modifications so I wonder if you could email me your latest;
admin/feeds_import_slow.php
includes/admin.php
...and I'll double check that there isn't a version inconsistency as Slow Import Tool may have been upgraded without corresponding changes elsewhere - I'll check it all out for you...

Sure - from /admin/ home page click Filters alongside that merchant's feed, and then add a new Strip HTML filter to the Description field - that should do the trick! (don't forget to re-import after adding the filter as filters are only applied at import time...)
