I moved my site to another server, confidently pasted in the backup xml file which I had saved from the admin page database tools backup button, and nothing happened. No filters or automation jobs were restored. I do need restore to work. What am I missing? Help appreciated.

Apologies for the inconvenience restoring. Rest assured if the XML file is valid I can get you restored whatever happens!
Firstly, please could you attempt the restore with database debug mode enabled, by changing line 6 of config.advanced.php as follows:
$config_databaseDebugMode = TRUE;Run the Restore process again, and additional database error information should be displayed. If you could copy and paste an example of one of the MySQL error messages into a reply for me I'll check it out.
If there is no apparent change, if you could email me a link to the new installation, any username/password required for /admin/ and also attach your Backup_.xml file, I'll check it out for you...
