Hi Henk,

Do you mean to make a Product Mapping entry for _every_ product imported (if one does not exist already)?

Just wanted to check - that's easy to do (simple mod in import record handler) but could mean thousands of Product Mapping entries which could cause memory issues - although would be fine for a niche site...

Cheers,
David.

Hi David,

I was figure it out if it's possible to make one standard xml file with all the information of products, then the normal feeds from merchants doesn't need all the information to import only name, sku/ean, link, image.

Thx
Henk

Hello Henk,

Sure - a lot of users do this but it is not yet documented with reference to the latest distribution so I will do this. It is normally easiest however to maintain your standard info file as a .csv rather than XML, which makes it easy to manage using a spreadsheet program such as Microsoft Excel or OpenOffice.org Calc (free). Both programs enable you to File > Export... as .csv which creates a .csv file that is compatible with Magic Parser so that it can be imported easily. If you could email me your latest includes/admin.php i'll work the code out for you...

Cheers,
David.
