ccTLD

Hi David,
one site, where PT is installed is programmed for the US-customers, but it is on a xxxxx.li domain. Before the google geotargeting started, this site was #1-3 in search results. Now the site is seen by google only for searches from Liechtenstein. In the regular seach results from google.com the site does not appear under the first 500 results.
Is there anything in programming to do so that google notices that this site is generated for the world-index?
Or does only help to transfer the site to a TLD?

Regards

roland

Hi Roland,

With search engines increasing their geo-targeting capabilities it is probably worth moving to more appropriate URL for the target market. You can tell Google about a site move via your Webmaster Tools account...

Cheers,
David.
