Hi David,
one of the tranferred domains works properly, but with the other I geht the following error:
Warning: require(includes/common.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/www/web117/html/brandfashion/index.php on line 2
Warning: require(includes/common.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/www/web117/html/brandfashion/index.php on line 2
Fatal error: require() [function.require]: Failed opening required 'includes/common.php' (include_path='.') in /home/www/web117/html/brandfashion/index.php on line 2
What does this mean? The index.php of both sites are equal. The sites are transferred as addon domains.
Regards
Roland
Hi Roland,
That sounds like the files haven't been restored on your new server with the correct permissions - in other words the web server user (whatever system user Apache is running as) cannot open files under certain circumstances.
However, since the web server is able to access index.php; that implies that the permission problem is probably at the directory level; so double-check using your FTP program by right-clicking on the folders in the remote window and checking that GROUP/WORLD have READ access - that should be all it is...
Cheers,
David.
