Drop record

Submitted by kiddaclo on Wed, 2012-03-28 10:56 in

Hi,

I need to drop records that have a specific word in the product_id column. I'm sure this is an easy mod but brain not working!

Hi kiddaclo,

Assuming that you have added product_id as a field to your site via $config_fieldSet in config.advanced.php (add field instructions here) then the field will appear in the select field drop-down when adding a new filter so that should be all you need to do. If not, even if you don't need to import / display product_id if you add the field anyway (it won't do any harm being in the database) then add the record as per those instructions and you will then be able to drop by product_id as required...

Cheers,
David.

Thanks David,

Done but can't seem to get working. Basically I have a field 'product_id' that contains:
dgm1000nonwork
dgm1000work
dgm1001nonwork
dgm1001work

etc. etc.

I want to drop all records that contain nonwork so added a drop record filter on product id for all that contain nonwork
but they're still imported.

Hi,

Could you perhaps post the URL of the installation and any password required for /admin/ (I'll remove before posting your reply) and I'll check it out right away - if you could also confirm the filename of a feed to which this filter should be applied that will help..

Thanks,
David.

Hi David,

{link saved}

The feed is Mazuma

This feed has nonworking and working price's and I want to drop the nonwork prices as identified in product_id.
Why they haven't just used another column like everyone else I'll never know!

Cheers,
Chris.

Hi Chris,

I checked the filter configuration and it indicated a null field having been registered for "product id" so I re-registered the feed (Quoted Text - Header Row - Comma Separated) and ensured that "product_id" was registered which is now showing in the filter configuration; re-imported and now 1816 out of 3718 have been imported so it looks like it's now taking effect - if you're still not sure let me know and I'll check it out further...

Cheers,
David.
