Wondering if you've ever experienced this. A few of my feeds will not load properly until I open them in Excel and then save them. When I try to load the raw file it skips over many rows and some of the rows that do load are mixed together (example: the name includes part of description). Once I open the file and save it, everything works fine. Do you have any ideas about what might be the problem and hopefully what I can do to solve it? I would like to have everything automated but this seems like a roadblock.
The files are identified as csv|9|1|34 and that seems to be correct.
Thanks,
Gregor
Thanks David. Here's the url for one of the files - {link saved}
I have another merchant with the same issue from the same network, so maybe it's something they've done differently.
Thanks,
Gregor
Thanks Gregor,
The auto-detection is actually incorrect as the text isn't quoted (the descriptions contain quotes within the HTML which is what fooled it). On Feed Registration Step 1, instead of accepting the auto-detected Format String, select the following from the drop-down box:
Text - Header Row - Tab Separated
...then click Next and re-register and that should do the trick!
Cheers,
David.

Hi Gregor,
That sounds like the feed may well be corrupt and Excel is actually cleaning it up on import. Next time you fetch the feeds; could you make a copy of one of the raw feeds (untouched) and let me know the installation URL and filename of the feed (i'll remove the details before publishing your reply) and I'll download from my feeds it to my test server and check it out for you...
Cheers,
David.
