Hi David,
I am trying to implement a product comparison functionality for my site and I am not quite sure where to start. My site's backbone is mainly based on Amazon ({link saved}). I will create a page where users can check mark products (they will all be from the same category such as GPS or Tablet PCs or eBook Readers etc.) and when they click "compare" button the values of the product attributes for each product will be listed in a table. The attributes and their values will come from Amazon. I am not sure if you have something similar in mind but this would be a very useful functionality for future versions. All of the attributes can be cached from Amazon for quick access.
Thanks,
Matt
Thanks Matt - I know the sort of system you describe which is more to do with feature comparison rather than price comparison. The issue from an affiliate datafeed point of view is very much like that of the sub-category problem - there just isn't the quality and consistency of the data available for it to be easily viable but I'll certainly bear it in mind when looking at data sources....
Cheers,
David.
