Hi David,
Some big merchants provide one enormous feed, and they additionally break their feeds into different categories. For example Walmart has a huge feed with everything from baby strollers to flat screen TVs. Ideally, I would use the category feeds as it's way less data to deal with. So the question is, is there a way to import 3 category feeds from Walmart, and somehow output them as one merchant feed in Price Tapestry. By the way, it's important that I this would be set up with he PT Automation script. It's probably a stretch, but thought I would ask. Worst case, I can download the big-feed, if necessary.
Thanks!
Ken.
David,
I added two feeds for one merchant in the automation tool, but in the admin home area and the feeds directory only one feed shows up.
Feeds are for different categories. I have 9 feeds from this merchant which need to be mapped to three different categories.
How do i go about this ? I am using the latest version.
Hi Mikey,
That sounds like you may be using the same filename for each category, so when each different job is run it overwrites the one that was last run.
You can have multiple filenames for the same merchant, so in the Automation Tool, as you configure your jobs use filenames that include the category e.g.
merchant-category1.csv
merchant-category2.csv
etc.
Hope this helps!
Cheers,
David.

Done, thanks David.
Was mixed up with the way i did it in the first version.
Hi Ken,
I know you've been using the script for several years so may still be running the original version; however if you're running 11/09A or later you can now have multiple feeds for the same merchant (or multiple merchants in a single feed - it's totally flexible) so that would be the best thing to do. Let me know if you're not sure regarding upgrading from a very early version; or alternatively if it's an established and quite heavily modified site let me know and I'll look at back-porting the multi-feed patch for you...
Cheers,
David.
