Will it be possible to use remote (by url or remote ftp for feeds only) or compressed data feed meaning to be able to use a large datafeed while still in gz or zip format.
Sure - subject to your server capabilities / set-up regarding the locations of gzip / unzip etc. the Automation Tool in the latest distribution will download and uncompress gzip or zipped feeds. See the Support Info page of your /admin/ area which shows what fetching and unzip methods are supported on your server. If "Not Available" is displayed, double check the paths to the gzip and unzip binaries in your config.advanced.php lines 46-47...
