Voucher Codes and Product Mapping

Submitted by JasonG on Wed, 2011-08-10 20:25 in

Hi, Stuart here again

Slowly figuring out Voucher Codes, have a few questions.

1) If we wanted all our codes and offers on a seperate page to the price comparison, is this possible - Sorry if that has already been answered in other posts

2) I added 2 test codes, one seems to work and show up, no minimum spend:
{link saved}
See the free shipping code

However the second voucher added "spend over £75 for 5% off" does not display anywhere that we can see within any of the merchants categories

Details entered in admin area are:
Zoo Plus STOCK-UP - - £75.00 5.00% 2011-07-28 2012-11-28 Edit Delete

3) I want to map over 4k products, the product mappping is great but is there a quicker way with merchants using slight varients on product names, or jus loads of hard work to get it done...?

Thanks again
Stuart

Hi Stuart,

Although not linked from the default template there is a script included in the distribution vouchers.php which shows all configured vouchers, and includes a search link to find all products applicable for that code.

Regarding the "spend over £75 for 5% off" text, I assume you have entered this in the "Discount Text" box which is only used if the discount is type "Other"; on the vouchers.php the discount text will be derived for you...

Product Mapping i'm afraid there is no (easy) computational way to match up even small differences. I have tried several approaches, including price variation to try and handle the accessories issue (for example "Sony W324000" and "Sony W324000 Stand") but it turns out to be an extremely complex computation problem!

Cheers,
David.
