Http 500 error on import after upgrade

Submitted by jonny5 on Mon, 2011-07-04 18:42 in

Hi David , i have upgraded an old site to the new version of pricetapestry.

all i have done is replaced the files apart from a few (the display files like product.php)
I have created new database and filed in the new config file , setup database all fine , i have then loaded the database backup xml that i downloaded from previous version.

all fine , then i goto admin , all filters etc are there from the backup , but when i click import i get the error, there are 4 feeds and all of them are very small (200kb)

im assuming im missing something?? i have also ran DBMOD.php which adds another colum i think in the database for the voucher link mod you done for me.

Hi jonny,

500 is normally an "internal server error" that is most commonly associated with things like errors in a .htaccess file, but at import there isn't any .htaccess processing involved.

Does the error happen immediately as you click Import; or does it happen after a few seconds when the page would normally refresh back to the Admin home page? If you could post the URL of the installation (and any password required for /admin/) - i'll remove the details before publishing your reply I'll check it out for you...

Cheers,
David.
