Voucher or Coupon Feeds

Submitted by hutchinsonm on Fri, 2011-05-20 19:50 in

Hi David,

I was just wondering if you have been able to work out a voucher or coupon feed system yet? I know that we can add individual coupons but if we have a lot of coupons that would be very time consuming.

Thanks

Matt

Hi Matt,

Whilst Price Tapestry supports affiliate coupon / voucher codes for manual input, as it stands coupon feeds are so far only provided in textual format. I have considered looking at parsing plain text coupon validity into Price Tapestry's voucher table table field requirements but unfortunately the parameters are so varied - including individual product exclusion for example - that at this time it doesn't look feasible i'm afraid.

I'm keeping abreast of the situation and as coupon / vouchers are becoming a significant element of affiliate marketing and i'm keen to make voucher code support even better so watch this space but I'm afraid nothing further to report at this time;

Cheers,
David.

Any coupon import would be better than nothing. It would be fairly easy to copy/paste information into a spreadsheet for import. With a lot of coupons it would be easier than putting them all into the coupon page. How about a simple input feed for coupons with the same fields you have on the input page?
