My admin panel used to be easily accessed at {link saved}

I havent used it for a few weeks as I was in hospital now I've just tried to log in and its taking me to a page under my wordpress site, any idea whats happened and how I can get back into it?

Hi kimarie,

The page is working for me at the moment, I was presented with the usual Price Tapestry /admin/ area login form.

The password required will be as configured in config.advanced.php (it can be set at line 2). Let me know if you're still not able to access the page as normal and I'll take a further look for you...

Cheers,
David.

Hi,

Thanks.

I was trying to get this to work http://www.pricetapestry.com/node/24 and changed the permissions for the /shopping folder (as I had tried changing it for the /feeds folder but the script just kept saying the folder wasnt writable) and changing the permissions for the root folder seemed to let wordpress take over and not let me access the pt files.

I however still cant get the above script to work.

As a test I put the php file in the feeds folder and created another new folder called feeds within that, didnt alter the permissions and it worked fine, tried again with the file in the pt root folder and it said the same - not writable, changed the permissions and still said the same?

The only problem with the above working is my feeds would then go to shopping/feeds/feeds/feed.xml any idea why its saying the normal feeds folder is unwritable when the permissions are 777?

Another quick query relating to my last comment, I accidentally deleted my feeds folder with all my old feeds in yet products are still showing on my website, is this normal?

Hello Kimarie,

Yes that would be normal - products are deleted only when a feed is De-Registered.

Regarding the permissions problem, one possibility is that if the feeds already exist in the folder, having been created by a different user ŧhen your automation script may not be able to re-create / overwrite the file despite the folder having 777 permissions...

Cheers,
David.
