I used this mod http://www.pricetapestry.com/node/3355 on an existing pt website. According to the admin the products are imported but they don't show on the website.
The cron message says only:
backfilling reviews...
backfilling reviews...[done]
It is on 12/10A.

Sounds like a database error - could you enable database debug mode at line 6 of config.advanced.php as follows:
$config_databaseDebugMode = TRUE;...and then run the process again. If you're not sure from the output (or there isn't any), email me your modified includes/admin.php and scripts/import.php and I'll check them out for you....
