Hi all,
I have 3 feeds coming into my Price Tapestry site. They all contain product listings for Apple products. When I do a search for "Macbook" I see there are 5 results from various merchants - all for the same spec Macbook. However, when I click into a result it only lists a single product rather than listing all 5 results.
I'm wondering what is the best configuration in order for all products to be listed?
Many thanks.
Hi,
It's unfortunately almost impossible for software to automatically match products together even if the name is only slightly different i'm afraid - but to handle this you can use Price Tapestry's Product Mapping feature.

This will let you match together products between different merchants. Don't forget that it is keyword based by default, which is handy if there is model number that can be used to link products. Don't forget to re-import any affected feeds after creating a mapping as the mapping is applied at import time...
When creating a new mapping, it's handy to open the Product Finder (/admin/ menu) in a new window which you can use to find each merchant's name for the same product, and then copy and paste directly from the Product Finder search results into the Alternatives box for your new mapping...
Cheers,
David.
