URL Showing Products Not Found

Submitted by jalvini on Sat, 2010-09-25 08:00 in

I have tried everything but I keep getting product not found when I click on a product in search.php.. The problem is that when I import my feeds it is including the special characters in the url ie

http://www.mysite.com/Boys-Dude-Tee-(INFANT)--Infant.html

I even tried taking URL rewrite off and it still didnt work. What should I do?

Hi jalvini,

Please can you email me a link to your site where I can see the problem and, also if you have modified them from the distribution at all any of the following files:

index.php
search.php
products.php
reviews.php

...and i'll merge in the fix for special characters corrupting the URL...

Cheers,
David.

Hi

I am getting exactly the same problem - for instance, most of the products here: {link saved} are showing 'product not found' when you click the link to view them. I have tried searching and replacing all characters like brackets, quotations, commas, etc - but with no luck.

(PS - I made an earlier post, which can now be ignored as I have resolved this problem)

Many thanks

Hi Beverly,

I just recreated your installation on my test server using a backup generated by the Database Tool from your site and copy of your feed and it is working fine. It also worked fine without the need for any Global Filters or Filters as this is all handled normally by the script; and in this case there are no specifically extended characters to be handled. I know you've only been using the script for a couple of days but I see you're making good progress - just so that I can see the full picture please could you email me your currently running versions of these files:

search.php
products.php
includes/admin.php
includes/tapestry.php

...and I'll check it out for you...

I did reply to your other post but the forum has been quite busy this-afternoon so it will have dropped off the Active forum topics list pretty quickly i'm afraid but you'll find my reply here - but glad you've resolved that anyway...

Cheers,
David.
