Hi there,
I have just bought Price Tapestry and am just getting to grips with it and finding it very useful. I've got a Wordpress site where price tapestry is installed in a subfolder and I'm including the price comparison tables within Wordpress posts which is working well.
Is there any way of creating a direct link in the posts that goes straight through to the best price merchant link of the relevant product? Creating something along the lines of:
<a href="http://www.example.com/store/jump.php?id=bestpriceforproducta">Product A</a>
Thanks
Alex
Hello Alex,
Thank for your comments!
It sounds like you're currently using pricesExternal.php to display the price comparison table; what you probably want is the full external.php that you have may have seen referred to; which, amongst other features, can generate a full replica of a Price Tapestry "product" page - and from there it's straight forward to create a separate html/product.php for use by external.php in order to only display the information you want, such as the buy URL link to the cheapest merchant(s).
If you would like to email me the "Calling Code" that you have added to your site for pricesExternal.php, I'll reply with the external.php script and the calling code required with that version as a starting point...
Cheers,
David.
