To test how more varied merchants show up I've reused the same xml file under different filenames and changed the merchant name for all the products in that file during import to something unique. What ends up happening though is the feed with its new file and merchant name will just overwrite the original one.
I thought the import process worked off the filenames? I've applied the mod for updating products rather than the normal delete all/insert all way of doing it. Could this have any affect or is it using something else that causes a conflict between the files?

Hello Jay,
The mod for updating rather than deleting products was documented against the original distribution of Price Tapestry, so that may be affecting it. Copying a filename and providing a unique merchant name (instead of selecting a field from the feed to be the merchant name of course) should import everything twice (or more times) - one for each merchant - in fact I often do this during development testing.
