Hi David and all,
Just wondering have you any system or any software you use to keep track of code changes. You have helped me with various mods over the last few years, but I struggle to keep track of changes which were made.
Anything better than a pen & paper ?
All ideas welcome.
Cheers
Adrian
Hi Adrian,
With regards to Price Tapestry specifically, what might be worth doing is keeping a clean "master copy" of the distribution - perhaps installed into a dev directory with one or two feeds; and then make any functionality changes that you might want on future sites on that dev version. Then, you can just move the modified files to any existing sites - and when you come to build a new site just take a copy of your dev version; and then go on to make any site specific look and feed changes to the new installation...
Cheers,
David.
