discount codes

no sure if you have thought of this for a new feature for price tapestry. but i think it would be a good idea for a option to insert discount codes so when it shows a retailer you can offer a discount.

Hi Paul,

There's a neat method for adding discount codes based in the following thread:

(it's based on the same method that several users have implemented to enhance the product descriptions - by creating a directory containing files to include that have the same name as the product... the same thing can be done with merchants...)

Is there a way to apply discount codes to particular products from a certain merchant? At the moment the voucher codes I add are displayed for all products for that particular merchant.

Hi,

There are various ways that I have helped users do this - such as naming .html files containing discount codes either by /vouchers/Merchant-Name.html or /vouchers/Merchant-Name_Product-Name.html, so the product page / prices table will first look for a Merchant+Product voucher, which would be displayed in preference to a Merchant voucher (if one exists).

Could you let me know how you have currently implemented voucher codes for all products for a merchant; and I'll work out the code to conditionally apply codes to individual products...
