Mod Rewrite problem

Submitted by jonny5 on Fri, 2008-08-29 17:37 in

Hi David.

I have pricetapestry installed in a sub section of a website www.test.com/shopping/ , i have the mod rewrite working for pricetapestry and the htaccess file is in the shopping folder.

now my site at the top level www.test.com has another script but i cant get mod rewrite to work , i place another htaccess file at the top level www.test.com.

now should i have 2 htaccess files? or should all the info be in one htaccess file at one level.

cheers

Hi Jonny,

Is it only the top level .htaccess that you cannot get to work, or once you enable it in the top level directory it stops the Price Tapestry mod rewrite from working?

Cheers,
David.

Hi Jonny,

That's interesting because I would expect the problem to occur the other way round with a higher level .htaccess interfering with a lower level one. If you want to email me your top level .htaccess i'll have a look and see if I can see why it might not work with a sub-directory and lower level .htaccess...

Cheers,
David.
