Importing products where categories contain....

Hi David,

Just wondering if its possible to import products where a category contains certain text.

Eg.

Some of the categories in a feed I am using contains

"Platform:Movie;Platform Category:Comedy"
"Platform:Movie;Platform Category:Drama"
"Platform:Movie;Platform Category:Horror"
"Platform:Music;Platform Category:Pop"

I am currently using the Selective Import Filter to only import products related to the movie category as follows

PlatformMoviePlatform CategoryComedys,PlatformMoviePlatform CategoryDrama.......

There are loads of these movie related categories with different combinations. Rather than having to list them all in the selective import box is there any filter I can use where all I have to put in the text box is "Movie" and all of the products with categories which contain the word movie will be imported.

Hi Adrian,

I'd add the "Drop Record If Not (RegExp)" filter from this thread:

http://www.pricetapestry.com/node/1551

You can then add this filter against the "Category" field, and simply use the text "Movie" in the box; and any record that doesn't contain Movie in that field will be dropped...
