Looking for a Javascript ilters

Submitted by ICH on Wed, 2008-03-12 13:15 in

Hello,

does anyone know where i can find the script slogging.com is using on tis filters?

for example see on the folling page {link saved} on the left they have various filters when you click on the "more" (more merchants or more brands) it shows all merchants on a "iframe style" box.

i would like to have the same but to be able to give the user the possibility to "expand (click on more)" as well as "close (get it to previous condition/less results)"

does anyone know where i can find it? i believe its a javascript (correct?)

Hi,

The features in the link you posted are, i'm afraid, quite a way outside the capabilities of Price Tapestry as it stands. In order to create multiple levels of results filtering you first need to equip the search engine to support all the options (price range, brand filter, category filter etc.), which also involves database indexing work to ensure that it doesn't affect performance. After that, it requires support for the current filters all the way through the follow on links (navigation and sort order)...

Cheers,
David.

David i am actually looking the javascript/ajax script that does this "more/less thing" and the slogging.com uses on its filters.

i dont want to have the same feature on pricetapestry, just to see if i can "intergrate" it later for the merchant, brand page that pricetapestry has ;-)

so to make it easier navigationwise.

so just once again in order to make it clear, i am looking for the actual code (javascript/ajax?) to be able to give to the user the posibility to expand in a similar manner the list of merchants/brands and then close it and "get it back" to the same/previous "status"

the script i am looking for i "displayed" on the slogging.com url i gave, if you look at the filters used by this site on the left just try and click on the more merchants or more brands...

sorry if i made myself misunderstood
