Hi Dave
I don't know how others are getting on with Google adwords, but It seems to be a disaster for me, organic traffic is great, but for some reason all the words in my page are picked up by the keyword tool for choosing keywords opt my actual keywords ie. product names, making product min bids about £2.50 per click on average.
Do you think there is a simple way to change this? There was a time when I was enjoying very healthy clicks and converions, but now i'm relying on organic traffic to keep the site live.
Regards
Phil

Hello Phil,
That's interesting; all I can assume is that the model number is being intentionally dis-regarded as a keyword; perhaps because it contains a jumble of letters and numbers and is assumed to be an ID field or something like that.
Can you compare this with the keyword tool recommendations for a more "normal" sounding product, if you have one available that you can try?
Cheers,
David.
Hi Phil,
Personally I have never used the keywords tool, but it is interested to note that it is not picking up product related keywords; when experience shows that Price Tapestry generated product pages tend to do extremely well in normal search results. It is also the case that AdSense, when running on Price Tapestry product pages also produce well targeted advertisements, relevant to the product on the page, so it's curious as to why the keyword tool should do something different.
Can you list what keywords it is picking up in your case, and maybe we can look at adjusting the product page layout in order to remove these words, or make them less significant?
Cheers,
David.
