Hi David,
I hv a merchant with feed file of 100mb. I separated each of them to 10mb into 10 different files ie 1234a 1234b 1234c etc.
Went to admin to manage the feed. First file went thru and imported. What about the 2,3, .....10 files. I hv to put in the same merchant info and had an arror "normalised merchant is not uinque". How to solve this problem.
thanks jack
Hi Jack,
The easiest way to handle this situation is, if possible, to use a merchant name that indicates a merchant name and a category, for example "Merchant A - Electrical", "Merchant A - Home", etc. I appreciate this is not always possible however.
The other thing to look at is using the command line import script import.php if you are having trouble importing the entire 100MB feed in one go, as this is less susceptible to timeout issues - details here:

To use import.php, you will need Telnet or SSH access to your account. If you're not sure if you have command line access, it is worth just trying with Putty, which you can download from here:

...then create a new connection to the same hostname that you use for FTP access to your account, making sure to select SSH as the protocol, and then use the same username and password as your FTP account...
Hope this helps,
Cheers,
David.
