I have a feed that has almost 2400 items on it. When I try to import the products from the feed I am getting a "error page cannot be displayed" after about 10 seconds of pressing the import link. I noticed that when I reduced the products to 400, i am able to import them, however I run into another problem doing this. I have to make new merchant names every time I register another feed. Is there any way to simply add onto an already registered feed? Thanks

2400 is not a particularly large number as feeds go, and I wouldn't have thought that timeout problems would come into effect after this number of products; however I am wondering if it might be a MySQL resource limit is configured by your host that you are reaching.
Firstly, I would look at the notes regarding timeout and check your configuration against this...

If that doesn't help; I would first contact your host and ask if your account is limited by a "MAX_QUESTIONS" restriction; and ask what it is currently set to (it is a limit per hour per user). Importing will generate at least as many queries (QUESTIONS) as there are products; and these will happen very quickly in succession. If there is a limit, and you explain the application you are running, your host might be willing to remove the restriction on your account...
On the separate note; i'm afraid there is no append functionality to add multiple feeds onto the same merchant; but hopefully if the reason why the import is stopping is resolved this won't be necessary...
