It looks like it's becuase you've registered "PRODUCT" as the product name, which is actually an empty field in every record; and therefore they are all duplicates.
If you go to feed registration (step 2) for books.xml, you will notice in the sample data that "PRODUCT" is empty. In this example, you probably want to register "TITLE" as the product name - then you should get a full import!
