can not creat a automation job

Submitted by rolli1 on Mon, 2016-02-22 12:03 in

Hi David.
I got a notice that one of my sites is experiencing a lot of soft 404 Errors. The site did work without any Problem at least 1 year.
Now that I went to the admin page I noticed no feed is registered and no Automation Job is saved. Trying to Register the Feeds this does not give any results, and also creating an new Job gives no results. The site works good, but without any products in it.
What problem do I have and how can I solve that?

Regards

Roland

Hello Roland,

That sounds like your site has lost access to the database.

To check this, browse to /setup.php and you will be able to see the output of the setup tests. If all is OK, you would normally see:

Checking database connection...PASS
Checking database selection...PASS
Checking database tables...PASS

If any of the tests fail, the output will indicate exactly which configuration variable in config.php to check.

If you see that database connection is PASS, but database selection is FAIL, this would normally indicate that $config_databaseName is incorrect, however, another possible cause is that the permissions granted to the user being used for the connection for some reason no longer has USE permission on the database.

You may need to contact your host if one or more of the tests fail but all settings in config.php look correct, otherwise if you're still not sure let me know what is displayed and I'll check it out further with you...

Cheers,
David.
