Hi,
is it possible to have a search results page as starting page? E.g. if s.o. searches yahoo for sunglasses and then clicks through to my website the values of the search are taken and then a starting page with these values appears?

Hi Roland,

Would that not happen automatically by virtue of how the search engines work? If your page comes up for a search for "sunglasses" it is likely to be the sunglasses search result page that was indexed and therefore Yahoo or Google etc. will refer them directly to the search results...

Cheers,
David.

Hi David,
perhaps I am asking stupid things:
How would the spider be able to index any result pages?
If I run a spidersimulation only the index.php and the links of the featured products appear, not any urls or links of search results.

Hi Roland,

If you run Google AdSense on your result pages it is not unlikely that they will get index, and hense turn up in the search results for the appropriate keyword. URLs can also be picked up by other means, such as Toolbars etc, and possibly become indexed - especially if your search.php script is not excluded by robots.txt.

Cheers,
David.

GoogleAdsense would have anyway been the next step. Thanks
