Unzipped file

Hi David,

I have succesfully retrieved and unzipped a xml.gz file from webgains. PT isn't recognising the begining of the file which is...

<?php
25391156208650.xml0100644000006000000600000304255310472454013012427 0ustar  apacheapache
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="iso-8859-1"
?>

Am I correct in thinking that it is to do with the encoding?

Regards,
Simon

Hi Simon,

I'm afraid that's not a valid XML header and Webgains should not be generating an XML document with that preamble at all! To use the feed straight away you could open the file into a text editor and remove everything up until the opening XML tag;. I would also contact Webgains support and let them know what's going on as it looks like a problem with the feed generation rather than the unzipping process.

Cheers!
David.
