Following on from this thread, i've been working on a simple paged navigation bar. It's on the demo site but not yet merged into the distribution as i'd like to get your feedback on the actual functionality before doing so. You can see it in action here (scroll to bottom to see page links):
http://www.webpricecheck.co.uk/merchant/Advanced-MP3-Players/
What do you think?
i also like the addition of: (showing 81 to 90 of 542) in the top!!
Looks lovely - as another addition, would it be possible to produce a page similar to the merchants.php page that instead of taking all products from one merchant took all products with a certain initial.
To try any be a bit more lucid, as the above makes very little sense, the page (called for example "alphas.php") would be linked to from an A-Z index as follows:
http://www.sitename.com/alphas.php?q=A (or http://www.sitename.com/alpha/A/ through .htaccess) - this would return a list of the first 100 products from the database that start with the letter "A" etc..
Thanks for the great support thusfar.
This change is now in the current distribution.
The only file modified in this change is search.php.
Thats good, only leaves 2 wishes for me, the rest i can probably handle myself
Great work, i am sure many more peole will purchase this product and be very happy
anyone who's not sure.. go for it, it great, there is support.. and it works!!
Well done, David! The result count and paged navigation is really a big plus.
Just a very tiny thingy for perfectionists: when on page 54 of your example there is a link for the next 10 results, but only two results will be shown. I can happily live with it, but wanted to let you know.
