Having been a long time user of the script, this is my first foray in to the forum for some advice.
I am in the process of switching my sites on to the Google Shopping category structure having converted the Google Shopping Feed Categories in to Price Tapestry pt_category_hierarchy with ID's, Parent ID's, Category Name, and a list of alternates for each category.
What I seek today is a quick and easy method of using a modified version of categories_hierarchy_configure.php to run in the background or from the command line to automate the processing of nearly 5500 categories by automating each category and saving each category in one go rather than have to click on each category manually then saving.
If this could be achieved it would be a great help and save me hundreds of hours. I understand that some merchants will still need to be manually processed, but in the initial stages with many of the feeds I now use using the Google Shopping category structure, this will successfully map over 50% of feeds from the outset.
If this can be achieved, I would welcome your advise.

Hello Mark,
If you have created a very large hierarchy the first thing that will help is a modification I have made to admin/categories_hierarchy_configure.php showing only top level categories initially which can then be individually expanded. As you have been using the script for several years now just in case you no longer using the same email address if you could email me that file from this installation and I'll forward the patch; and follow up regarding your other requirements...
